India stands as the second largest producer of vegetables in world after China: it contributes about 14 per cent to the world’s vegetable production. The present study aimed to analyse the constraints in marketing of vegetables in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. The primary data on problems faced by farmers and market functionaries were collected from 60 farmers selected from the 10 villages of Baijnath area of district Kangra of Himachal Pradesh using two stage random sampling technique and 20 market functionaries from Baijnath regulated market.
