The present investigation aims to explore potential of phyllospheric isolates on pearlmillet. Bacteria from leaves were isolated and tested for their plant growth promoting traits ., siderophore production, indole acetic acid, ammonia production and zinc solubilization. Three bacterial isolates were selected and studied in pothouse on pearlmillet by foliar application. Isolate JFS-5 foliar spray exhibited maximum plant height and shoot dry weight.
