The study of soil microbial dynamics is a matter of importance as microbial activities controls soil carbon(C) and nutrient dynamics. This study focused on soil C budgeting under forest and cultivated lands as land use affect soil C and microbial dynamics. The soil samples were collected from Rasomoti and Sonapur forest range along with the agricultural fields of the neighbouring areas.
