Field experiment was conducted during summer, 2018 to determine the influence of LAI on yield maximisation in finger millet genotypes by varying plant densities. Maximum grain yield was obtained at the plant density of to hills m-2 but above or below. The source size (LAI) and source activity (photosynthetic rate) were not the limitations for yield maximisation under optimal irrigation and; LAI of to was optimum for maximum finger millet yield especially in variety, GPU-28. | Optimum LAI for yield maximisation of finger millet under irrigated conditions
