Present investigation was planned to screen thirty maize landraces for root traits in relation to drought tolerance. Drought stress is one of the most important abiotic stress which reduces growth, development and yield of the plants. Developing maize cultivars that can perform well in drought and other abiotic stresses is an important goal throughout the world. Rooting depth was highest in SRG 9 (47 cm) and lowest in SRG 5 (14 cm) under drought condition. | Screening of root traits in maize Zea mays L. landraces in relation to drought stress
