Bacillus subtilis has been widely used to produce hydrolytic enzymes for various industrial applications. In this study, solid state fermentation was carried out using various agro- industrial wastes for the production of alpha amylase using B. subtilis. Among the tested agro-residues, wheat bran supported more enzyme production.
