Bambara groundnut (Vigna subterrenea Verdc. L) is an African pulse crop, cultivated mainly as protein source. The crop is most suitable for arid and semi-arid tropics and tolerant to saline soils. Low Productivity of pulses in the country is attributed to many biotic stresses which are ranging from plant ideotype to biotic and abiotic stresses.
