One hundred and forty four numbers of 40th week-old coloured broiler breeder hens were randomly distributed into 6 dietary treatments with three replicates with 8 chicks per replicate. The dietary treatments were: T1 (Control group): Basal diet; T2: Basal diet with ppm of inorganic Se (); T3: Basal diet with ppm inorganic selenium (); T4: Basal diet with ppm of organic selenium (); T5: Basal diet with ppm of organic selenium (); and T6: Basal diet with sodium selenite+ ppm selenium yeast (). The supplementation was continued for 12 weeks.
