Psyllium as a soluble fiber has a potential to stimulate bacterial growth in digestive system, stimulate probiotic growth in the colon, this study aimed to incorporate the modified psyllium husk (MPSH) in alginate beads containing probiotic bacteria viz., L. acidophilus and L. bulgaricus.
