This paper provides a brief review of the installed solar-assisted technologies currently being used for cooling or air conditioning purposes. The review identifies some of the finest technologies used to convert solar energy into space cooling. Air conditioning is an attractive area for solar energy use since it is estimated that 45 % of household energy consumption is used for cooling.
