The present study, conducted with randomly selected 60 field veterinarians of Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh states reveals that, majority of the respondents were men, having masters’ degree, and medium length of service. Majority of the field veterinaries covers a significant area of jurisdiction amounting to 25 serving the veterinary needs of the farmers by working on and off the office campus. A significant proportion amongst the respondents perceived their workload at field, as heavy. All of them had training exposure, medium level of job satisfaction and stress. Good balance diet and proper sleep were their top two coping mechanisms to overcome stress at job or any given circumstance.
