Pineapple [Ananas comosus (L.) Merr.] is a commercial fruit crop belonging to the family Bromeliaceae. In West Bengal, Kew is being grown as commercial cultivar mainly for processing purpose. Monoculture with one cultivar since a long time invites different problems of cultivation.
