Rice is one of the most important food crops in the world. In India, rice contributes 43 per cent of the total food grain production and 46 per cent of the total cereal production. Rice crop is affected by many fungal, bacterial, viral and nematode diseases. Among the nematodes, rice root knot nematode (M. graminicola) is considered as a major problem in rice crop.
