The plant Acacia catechu () Willd hydroethanolic leaf extract was subjected to qualitative and quantitative phytochemical screening, HPTLC and GCMS analysis. The phytochemical analysis revealed the presence of carbohydrates, proteins, flavonoids, total phenolics, glycosides, total free amino acids, tannins, alkaloids and thiols.
