Line x Tester analysis was carried out for thirteen diversified parents at the department of Horticulture, Agricultural College and Research Institute, Madurai, Tamil Nadu, to study the combining ability for yield and yield contributing characters in snake gourd. The analysis for combining ability revealed significant mean sum of squares of both general combining ability (GCA) and specific combining ability (SCA) for all the characters which indicate that the presence of both additive and non-additive gene actions.
