A study was undertaken to manage two factors that are responsible for reduced market value in banana cv. Yelakki namely ethylene biosynthesis and microbial deterioration. Freshly harvested stage 2 banana fruits treated with chemicals, 1-methylcyclopropene (1- MCP) and poly hexa methylene guanidine (PHMG) at different concentrations and stored in corrugated fiber board boxes at ambient condition for 15 days. | Effect of 1-Methylcyclopropene and polyhexamethylene guanidine on postharvest quality of Banana Musa paradisiaca cv.
