Microbial isolates were collected from rhizospheric soil of Meerut-Muzaffarnagar district of western Uttar Pradesh to identify the potassium solubilizing efficiency of different soil microbes. A total of thirty-eight potassium solubilizing microbes were identified and isolated on Aleksandrow Agar media. It was found that thirty-five of them were bacterial isolates and three were fungal isolates. They were further characterized based on morphological and biochemical characteristics. |
