Methods A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted. Subjects of the study were children under 12 months of age at Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital in 2019. Results The clinical symptom associated with hypocalcaemia is early rickets such as crying startling convulsions sleep deprivation and persistent sweating with a high rate 64-80 . The average blood calcium is mmo l the ionized calcium level is mmo l. There is a correlation between total calcium and ionized calcium ion level r y p . Factors related to hypocalcaemia are young ages 1 to 6 months infants who are not exclusively breastfed. Conclusions Accounting for a high rate of hypocalcemia is the group of children from 1- 6 months male account for a higher rate than female. All patients had low calcium level significantly serum hypomagnesemia elevated alkaline phosphatase. There is no association between hypocalcemia maternal education and birth weight of the child.
