Serology is considered the pillar of the syphilis diagnosis. The limitations of traditional serological methods, the advent and availability of new immunochromatographic tests have led to the widespread application of rapid procedures as syphilis screening tools. However, these tests are not widely evaluated. This study was designed to evaluate the performance of a rapid diagnostic test for syphilis known as SD BIOLINE Syphilis .
