CSW/AKS/2010 is a novel herbal formulation consisting of Withania somnifera and Curcuma longa along with toxin binder yeast- Saccharomyces cereviciae, intended to be incorporated in livestock feed for prevention and treatment of mycotoxicoses. The present study evaluated potential safety of CSW/AKS/2010 following acute and subacute exposure in Wistar rats. Phytochemical analysis of Withania somnifera and Curcuma longa was carried out with the help of HPLC and HPTLC respectively. |
