Febrile seizures happening between 6 months and 5 years are considered the most prevalent form of childhood seizures. It is defined as seizures occurring during fever in children without central nervous system infection. Pro-inflammatory cytokines released during infection play an essential role in the mechanism of febrile seizures. Studies try to clear the responsibility of these pro-inflammatory cytokines in the pathogenesis of febrile seizures. In this study we aimed to evaluate the relation between febrile seizures and serum TNF-α andIL-1β. |
