Thirty seven rice genotypes were evaluated for their variability with regards to yield and yield components. Estimates of heritability and genetic advance in percent of mean were also obtained for the above traits. All the characters under study except days to fifty percent flowering exhibited high heritability coupled with high genetic advance as per cent of mean, which indicated that these traits were controlled by additive type of gene action in the inheritance of these characters. |
