The present investigation was carried out to study the influence of antioxidants on in vitro culture of Gliricidia sepium. Soft nodal stem segments were inoculated on MS medium supplemented with desired concentrations plant growth regulator such as cytokinins (BAP/Kinetin) and different antioxidants. Antioxidants viz., activated charcoal, ascorbic acid, citric acid and polyvinylpyrollidone were used to control the accumulation of phenolic compounds in the culture medium and enhance the rate of micropropagation. |
