Quá trình hình thành, phát triển của các hệ sinh thái rừng, nhất là các hệ sinh thái rừng tự nhiên luôn có nhiều biến động theo thời gian và chịu sự tác động của nhiều nhân tố ngoại cảnh. Tuy nhiên, trong mỗi giai đoạn sinh trưởng, phát triển, các hệ sinh thái rừng vẫn có sự ổn định tương đối, phù hợp với môi trường và hoàn cảnh sống khác nhau về khí hậu, địa hình, đất đai, . | KẾT QUẢ VÀ ĐỊNH HƯỚNG NGHIÊN CỨU TRONG CÔNG TÁC ĐIỀU TRA QUY HOẠCH RỪNG GIAI ĐOẠN 2021 - 2030 Viện Điều tra Quy hoạch rừng SUMMARY Results and orientations on research in forest inventory and planning in the period 2021-2030 Forest Inventory and Planning Institute FIPI has about 60 years of experiences in scientific and technological research and has remarkable achievements with hundreds of research topics in areas such as forest type classification ecosystem structures and characteristics monitoring of forest quality change and forest dynamics forest growth and development biodiversity non-timber forest products application of remote sensing GIS technologies biomass and forest carbon stocks site classification and land use potential assessment classification and and proposal of establishment of three forest categories throughout the country etc. Especially the research results have been recorded 4 new large mammal species to science including Sao La Large-antlered Mujact Annamite Muntjac and Leaf Muntjac and more than other 50 new plant species to the science and many new record species to Vietnam. Research results on forest inventory and planning have provided significant contributions to the forestry sector in developing strategies and plannings of forest resource management for local levels as well as the whole country. These contributions have helped the forestry sector to establish and stabilize systems of three forest categories of nationwide including protection forests special-use forests and production forests. However the research results on forest inventory and planning have not been applied much in forestry production and socio-economic development requirements so these results have not been paid very much attention by many forest companies. Therefore the research orientations in the coming periods will be not only continued promoting the FIPI strengths in the research fields that have been affirmed but should be also continued the forest resource .
