Mango malformation (MM) is an ambiguous mango disease with tremendous economic importance throughout the mango growing regions. Several studies reported that Fusarium species especially Fusarium mangiferae is associated with mango malformation. Silicon is an essential element, which plays a vital role in plant microbial interaction. It deposits under the cuticle and acts as a physical barrier that protects the plant from fungal infection. The present study was conducted to observe the in-vitro application of various silicon (potassium silicate) concentrations on mycelial growth of Fusarium isolates. |
