A Study on HIV/TB Co-infection in and Around Khammam, Telangana Tuberculosis is the most common opportunistic infection and the major cause of death in HIV positive patients. In India, the incidence of TB is about 40% in general population and about 25- 30% extra cases are due to HIV infection. To study the demographical and clinical factors associated among HIV/TB co-infected patients in and around Khammam. A crosssectional study was conducted among 107 HIV/TB co-infected patients attending ICTC centre in the district hospital Khammam from July-November 2016. HIV/TB positive with CBNAAT, all age groups, both genders were included in the study. |
