Micronutrients are not only essential for plant growth and development but are also integral to human health. Fe and Zn deficiencies cause serious nutritional problems in human beings. Increasing the micronutrient content of grain by bio-fortification offers great potential to combat micronutrient deficiency and dramatically impact human health.
