This study was conducted in Phu Binh Published 31 7 2021 during October 2020 to evaluate the current situation of local chicken raising activities and waste treatment. The research was carried out KEYWORDS through personal interviews with 90 households in Tan Khanh and Ban Dat communes. As a result scale of chicken raising of the households Chicken raising is small with about 1 900 chicken heads household. Breeding facilities Poultry waste treatment are mainly located in residential areas. The majority of households have Environmental pollution applied different methods to treat chicken waste. Nonetheless the current treatment efficiency is rather limited causing environmental Health impact pollution and adverse impacts on human health. of the producers Farm household have been trained on how to handle livestock environment. However proportion of farmers learning through neighbors accounts for while the rates of the producers learning through production groups cooperatives and demonstration models are very small. Results of this research would be a useful basis for relevant agencies and farmers to take appropriate action to protect the rural environment and the health of local households and animals.
