Chi lan hài (Paphiopedilum) là chi lan đặc biệt được yêu thích bởi màu sắc đa dạng và cấu trúc hoa độc đáo. Để bảo vệ những loài lan này, việc phát triển các phương pháp nhận diện, phân biệt chúng là vô cùng cần thiết, đặc biệt Paphiopedilum là chi mang nhiều loài có độ tương đồng cao về hình thái thân lá. The results of sequencing the trnH- psbA gene isolated from the species P. gratrixianum samples indicated a P. gratrixianum gene fragment of 691 bp in size. When comparing to the sequences on the Barcode NCBI gene bank the trnH-psbA gene sequence of species P. gratrixianum is Lao Cai similar to the same species isolated in China up to code . On the taxonomy tree basing on the trnH-psbA gene sequence species P. gratrixianum was shown close relationship with the Vietnamese species P. tranlianianu - India endemic species P. spicerianum - and the first recorded species in China P. barbigerum - .
