Subjects and methods A pre-experimental research design was applied. Research variables were collected from all children aged 0-18 years old with colonoscopy indications without an electrical intervention patients used lactulose fluid and the enema including glycerol phosphate for bowel preparation. They have done colonoscopy at the endoscopy department the centre for gastroenterology hepatology and nutrition Vietnam National Children s Hospital during October 2020. A structured questionnaire was designed to collect information from parents or children s protectors via an interview. Results Boston score of the whole colon was 8 1 1 2 points children with excellent boston scores children with good boston scores only cases had poor boston scores 03 cases only used lactulose fluid without an enema. The percentage of children with mild adverse events after completion of colonic preparation by using lactulose regimen including nausea vomiting 25 abdominal pain . An average volume of lactulose fluid consumed was 101 9 36 3 ml which was not significantly lower compared with the needed volume of lactulose regimen. The rate of children consuming lactulose fluid in an easy way 85 was dramatically .
