Most cases of horseshoe lung are associated with lung hypoplasia. Horseshoe lung can be definitely diagnosed by MSCT showing that the isthmus of the pulmonary parenchyma crosses the midline into the contralateral side and it is typically supplied by the hypoplastic pulmonary artery. Furthermore combining bronchopulmonary malformations as well as cardiovascular abnormalities are clearly demonstrated on MSCT. Clinical symptoms therapeutic methods and prognosis depend on the incidence of pulmonary hypertension lung hypoplasia and other combinations of congenital malformations. In this article we describe two cases of horseshoe lung at the Vietnam National Children s Hospital in order to share experience in the diagnosis and treatment of this anomaly.
