In the past decades, scholars have addressed the importance of intermediary organizations as facilitators of technology transfer in an innovation system. They used the intermediary term in different contexts of the innovation system. Although many studies underlined the importance of intermediaries, there is not much discussion on the functions of intermediaries in the innovation system. This paper aims to highlight the importance of intermediaries in increasing the absorptive capacity of firms. |
