The study examines the factors affecting health demand in Vietnam, specifically the northern part of Vietnam, based on the 2016 VHLSS dataset. The first results show that individual and household characteristics are impact on the individual's demand for medical services. Second, the study found that purchasing health insurance increased the frequency of medical visits by policyholders and contributed to a reduction in their medical spending. |
