Today, the urban landscape of Hanoi is marked by a massive increase of private vehicles. Cars and motorcycles are filling the streets and make the traffic conditions difficult. In order to reduce congestion, the Vietnamese government plans a Public Transportation System (PTS), which is composed of metro lines and dedicated bus lanes. This paper concludes that technology, . modern means of transport, will be useful if the integration of public transport system into the urban planning is guaranteed. |
