Method A retrospective study was conducted on all cases with congenital lung malformations operated thoracoscopic lobectomy from December 2017 to August 2020. Results 38 patients of age from 1 month to 12 years underwent thoracoscopic lobectomy for congenital lung malformations. Weight ranged from to 51 kg. Preoperative diagnosis included sequestration n 11 congenital cystic adenomatoid malformation n 26 and congenital lobar emphysema n 1 . All procedures were successful with thoracoscopic lobectomy although single lung ventilation could not be obtained in 10 cases. Operative times ranged from 80 to 200 minutes. There were 11 upper 3 middle and 21 lower and 3 extralobar sequestration lobe resections. There were no intraoperative or postoperative complications. Chest tubes were left in all patients. Hospital stay ranged from 4 to 30 days. The reasons for long hospital stay were pre or postoperative lung infection. Conclusion Thoracoscopic lobectomy in pediatric congenital lung malformations can be done safely and feasibly though single lung ventilation cannot always be obtained.
