Peripheral manifestations secondary to progressive vascular occlusions are characteristic of the rare condition termed thromboangiitis obliternas (TAO) or Buerger’s disease. The central manifestations of this disease are however poorly characterized, particularly those of psychiatric nature, and their prevalence is largely unknown. |
