Participants and research methods A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 247 breast cancer patients at Hospital K from march 2022 to december 2022. Results The average age was 48 years old with the highest proportion in the 40-60 age group at 55 . Most patients had health insurance with 80 receiving the highest proportion of 83 . 24 of breast cancer patients had actual anxiety disorders and 21 had anxiety symptoms. 11 of breast cancer patients had actual depression and 15 had depressive symptoms. 98 of breast cancer patients discussed their illness with family members while only 71 discussed it with their partners. of breast cancer patients wanted someone to provide information to help them understand their condition. All breast cancer patients wished to receive support for one or more psychosocial issues. Conclusion The proportion of breast cancer patients with anxiety and depression is high. Most patients want support and information on treatment methods side effects of chemotherapy and nutrition counseling. Keywords Anxiety depression breast cancer.
