A commercial provider of computer network access to the World Wide Web or to a local Web-based network. Most although not all Internet Service Providers ISPs provide Web access and often include it in their monthly subscription cost. They may or may not provide a diskette with a Web client called a browser. If not Web browsers are widely available for download or through friends as many of them are freely distributable or shareware.
