Adobe Flash CS3: The Professional Portfolio- P23

Adobe Flash CS3: The Professional Portfolio- P23:Now you can easily create web-ready images and animations within the familiar Adobe environment. With the recent acquisition of Macromedia, Adobe has added Flash to its suite of creative products, thus solidifying its position as the world's leading developer of graphic and visual communications tools. The Against The Clock Portfolio Series Flash title ensures that you'll learn everything you need to complete any job that requires Flash skills | 2. Add another keyframe on the Line 2 layer at Frame 30. Each layer overlaps the previous animation by one frame the first tween Line 1 plays and then a split-second later the second one will begin after you complete the next few steps . 3. With the Free Transform tool active use the bounding handles to reduce the width of the rectangle on the Line 2 layer. This is the same technique you used earlier on the Line 1 layer. This time you need to reduce the width of the Line 2 rectangle until the underlying graphic becomes visible. 4. Select any frame between Frame 16 and Frame 30 on the Line 2 layer. In the Properties Inspector change the Tween menu to Shape. When you change the Tween menu from None to Shape green-shaded frames and a left-to-right arrow appear on the Timeline. 5. Repeat the process for the Line 3 layer. First add a keyframe at Frame 31 so the third line doesn t appear until the second line is entirely visible. Then add a keyframe at Frame 45 reduce the width of the rectangle select the tween frames between 31 and 45 and change the Tween menu to Shape. 6- Play the animation by pressing Return Enter. If you forgot to change the tween style or you added a regular frame instead of a keyframe your animation will not work correctly. 7. Export the file as save the Flash file and close it and then continue to the next stage of the project. When Tweens Don t Work FLASH FOUNDATIONS If you try to create a tween and something is wrong instead of seeing an arrow icon in the tween frames you ll see a dotted line. An example of something working incorrectly is when you try to apply a shape tween to grouped imported objects. Flash can t apply a shape tween to imported objects especially groups of them. Before you can apply the shape tween to groups of imported objects you must first convert the groups into actual Flash artwork using the Ungroup command. The dotted line indicates that something is wrong with this tween. Project 2 Animated Icons 97
