The QLX Four-Position Remote Chassis is installed at the customer premises for termination of up to eight protected or unprotected DS1 circuits via two or four optical DS2 circuits. The unit houses up to four QLX modules an optional line termination unit alarm processor unit and craft performance monitoring module. Two QLX modules are deployed for unprotected applications four QLX modules are used for 1 1 protection. The Four-Position Remote Chassis is modular and includes two fiber storage areas eight DS1 terminations with choice of RJ48 or wire-wrap connectors and terminations for power and alarms. The chassis is designed to be wall-mounted however an optional rack mount bracket is available.
