Total aboveground standing biomass was estimated on a per ha basis using six equations from two additive procedures and contrasted against two conventional sets of equations. The results indicated that total standing weighted biomass averages Mg ha-1 composed of leaf Mg ha-1 branch Mg ha-1 stem Mg ha-1 and root Mg ha-1 biomass. The additive equations developed in seemingly unrelated linear regression that use quadrat attributes provided unbiased biomass estimates within the range of precision reported by conventional procedures.
