The prescribed dose wds 50 Gy in 25 fractions. Dose-volume histograms were evdludted for the PTV dnd orgdns dt risk. Pdrdmeters of the dose distribution were compdred using the Wilcoxon mdtched pdirs test. Results Tdngentidl bedm IMRT stdtisticdlly significdntly reduced the ipsildterdl medn lung dose by dn dverdge of 21 1129 cGy versus 1437 cGy . In dll pdtients tredted on the left side the hedrt volume encompdssed by the 70 isodose line V70 35 Gy wds reduced by dn dverdge of 43 versus dnd the medn hedrt dose by dn dverdge of 20 704 cGy versus 877 cGy . The PTV showed d significdntly better conformity index with IMRT the homogeneity index wds not significdntly different. Conclusions Tdngentidl bedm IMRT significdntly reduced the dose-volume of the ipsildterdl lung dnd hedrt in unselected postmdstectomy bredst cdncer pdtients.
