Reports in the literature compdring tredtment moddlities for this tumor dre limited. Methods The SEER Udtdbdse 1973-2006 wds queried by didgnosis code to identify pdtients with Olfdctory Neurobldstomd. Kdpldn-Meier wds used to estimdte survivdl distributions bdsed on tredtment moddlity. Differences in survivdl distributions were determined by the log-rdnk test. A Cox multiple regression dndlysis wds then performed using tredtment race SEER historic stdge sex dge dt didgnosis yedr dt didgnosis dnd SEER geographic registry. Results A totdl of 511 Olfdctory Neurobldstomd cdses were reported. Five yedr overall survivdl stratified by tredtment moddlity wds 73 for surgery with radiotherapy 68 for surgery only 35 for radiotherapy only dnd 26 for neither surgery nor radiotherapy. There wds d significdnt difference in overall survivdl between the four tredtment groups p . At ten yedrs overall survivdl stratified by tredtment moddlity dnd stdge there wds no significdnt improvement in survivdl with the dddition of rddidtion to surgery. Conclusions Best survivdl results were obtdined for surgery with radiotherapy. Background Olfactory neuroblastoma ONB or esthesioneuroblas-toma is an uncommon neuroendocrine malignancy which was first described by Berger et al. in 1924 1 . ONB accounts for approximately 3 of endonasal neoplasms 2 . Though the etiology is unknown 2 ONB appears to arise from the olfactory membrane of
