The Act requires the SEC to share any Private Fund Information filed with, or provided to it under the Advisers Act, with the Oversight Council and other federal departments, agencies or self-regulatory organizations. The SEC may not withhold any Private Fund Information from Congress, and must comply with any proper requests for Private Fund Information made by other . federal departments, agencies, or self-regulatory organizations. The Act requires the Oversight Council or other recipient of such information to keep such information confidential, and specifically exempts the Oversight Council, the SEC, and any other recipients of Private Fund Information.
