Ozone is a gas that is composed of three oxygen atoms (O3). It is created by the oxides in the air’s nitrogen reaction with volatile organic compounds (VOC). Normally we think of ozone being higher in the atmosphere, also known as “good” ozone. However, when the conditions are right, ozone can occur at ground level, which is known as “bad” ozone.
