A field experiment was conducted on alluvial soil to study the effect of growth and yield of rice as influenced by different levels of nitrogen and method of basal and split application of nitrogen at Banaras Hindu University during kharif season of 2016. Crop response to treatment was measured in the terms of various quantitative and qualitative indices of plant growth like plant height, chlorophyll content, Number of tiller, penicle length and grain and straw yield, content of N, P and K in grain and straw were analyzed after harvest of the rice crop. | Effect of different levels, sources and methods of nitrogen application on growth and yield of rice (Oryza sativa L.)
