Muscle injuries present frequently in sports medicine. Healing with conventional therapy is often inadequate, leading to incomplete functional recovery due to fibrosis. Generating substantial interest in the potential for emerging technologies such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to enhance soft-tissue healing and decrease time of recovery became mandatory.
