In the present investigation efforts were made to test the influence of soil moisture on the viability of sclerotium of groundnut stem rot causing pathogen Sclerotium rolfsi. Based on the results least sclerotial germination () occurred at soil pH and this indicates that basic pH is less favorable for sclerotial germination. Moisture levels of 50 per cent (control) and 40 per cent were found to be best for sclerotial germination (100%). | Influence of soil pH and moisture on the viability of Sclerotia of S. rolfsii
