The performance and water use efficiency (WUE) of Chrysanthemum var. Marigold was evaluated under two moisture regimes, ., 100 % FC and 70 % FC imposed and maintained using gravimetric method. At 100 % FC, the plant height ( cm), average plant spread ( cm), number of primary branches/plant () and secondary branches/plant (), number of leaves/plant (), number of flowers/plant (), average weight of individual flowers (), RWC (), root: shoot ratio (), total fresh bio mass ( g), flower yield ( g / plant) and shelf life of days were significantly higher compared to plants grown under 70% FC. The gas exchange characteristics . photosynthetic rate, stomatal conductance and transpiration rate were also significantly higher in plants grown at 100 % field capacity compared to 70 % field capacity treatment. | Effect of different moisture regimes on the yield quality and water use efficiency of Chrysanthemum var.
