Pleurotus spp which are already widely known for its nutrient values, four of them were collected viz., P. ostreatus, P. florida, P. sajor-caju, P. flabellatus and studies were made to detect their efficiency in terms of laccase enzyme production and dye decolorization efficiency for its industrial uses. Bromophenol blue, crystal violet, methyl red, methylene blue and brilliant blue were the five dyes mostly used on the commercial side and thus were nominated for this study on potato dextrose agar (solid medium) and potato dextrose broth (liquid medium) at three different concentrations . 100ppm, 200ppm and 500ppm. |
